8days Wildlife and primate tracking
Let us introduce you to the best wildlife safaris Uganda has to offer from Kibale National Park to queen Elizabeth national park to Rwenzori mountains and then to Bwindi National Park to encounter incredible wildlife and primates.
Day1; welcome to Uganda
Your driver to the guest house will be at the airport to welcome you.
Day2; Kibale forest
Your journey to Kibale forest will take you through tea plantations, village markets and hills of lush green vegetation which are a characteristic of western Uganda.
Day 3; Kibale chimpanzee trekking.
Kibale National Park is the primate capital of the world with chimpanzee as its largest population and an impressive list of other primate species like elephants, buffaloes etc.
Day 4; To Queen Elizabeth National Park.
The park is Uganda’s most popular protected area with scenic and bio diverse ecosystems. Expect to see elephants, buffaloes and hippos with chances of finding lions while leopard sightings are frequent but unpredictable. If time allows take a hike as you explore the twin crater lakes in Bunyaguru.
Day 5; Explore Queen Elizabeth National Park.
The best time to start the game drive is at sunrise as animals tend to be very active during these hours. Later in the day head to kazinga channel for a boat cruise to encounter the animals as they gather at the river for a drink.
Day 6; To Bwindi national park
Experience the best drives in Uganda as you drive on winding roads through lush rainforest’s villages in the valleys before arriving at Lake Mutunda offering some the best views in Uganda with gorilla tracking as the main activity.
Day 7; Gorilla tracking
Tracking mountain gorillas through the remote impenetrable Bwindi which serves as Uganda’s best tourist attraction. Led by your tour guide for 2-7 hours on the trails once you locate these magnificent mammals settle and enjoy as you observe.
Day 8; travel to Kampala.
Leave Bwindi and head back to Kampala and then to Entebbe international airport depending on your flight schedule.
