Overview
Murchison falls is Uganda’s largest and premier wildlife, home to the world’s most powerful waterfall, elephants, buffaloes, lions and leopard plus a healthy population of hippos and crocodiles that inhabit the River Nile. The park is famous for its bird life including the rare shoebill stork. This 3 day tour trip gives you a chance to explore the largest park bisected by the Victoria Nile, creating the dramatic Murchison falls.

THE BRIEF ITINERARY: 
Day 1: Pick up from your hotel in Kampala/Entebbe for Murchison Falls National Park        via Ziwa White Rhino Camp
Day 2: Morning game drive & Afternoon boat cruise 
Day 3: Return back to Kampala/Entebbe airport.

DETAILED ITINERARY

Day 1: Travel to Murchison falls National Park via Ziwa White Rhino Camp 
You will be picked up by our guide from your hotel after an early morning breakfast and begin the panoramic drive North-west through famous Luwero Triangle and Ziwa Rhino and Wildlife Sanctuary. You will get the opportunity to watch these endangered, magnificent creatures in their natural habitat. As these rhinos are free to move around on 7 000 hectares of land, it is often necessary to drive to the areas where the rhinos are, before taking the bush trek. This drive is done in your own vehicle; however you can hire one of Rhino Fund Uganda’s vehicles and a driver, just ask at reception for the costs.

While at the sanctuary you may also encounter a range of other wildlife species including Uganda kobs, oribis, bush bucks, water bucks among others and a number of other bird species thereafter continue to Masindi for a lunch break and proceed with the journey to Murchison Falls National Park where you can see the Nile’s beauty perfected! Marvel at the Nile, compressing from 50 meters to squeeze through a 8-meter wide gorge and plunges 45 meters with a thunderous roar into the “Devil’s Cauldron”, creating a trademark rainbow .Dinner and overnight.

Day 2: Game drive and boat cruise 
Start the day with an early morning breakfast before setting out for a game drive where you get to see some of the parks prominent wildlife including elephants, giraffes, Uganda Kobs, buffaloes, waterbucks, Jackson’s Hartebeest, vervet monkeys, lions, Patas monkey, Olive Baboons, leopards and variety of birds species. After the morning game drive, you will head back to the lodge for a rest and lunch. In the afternoon you will go for a boat cruise on the Nile up to the bottom of the falls where you will get an opportunity to see many various wildlife species like crocodiles, Hippos and a variety of the bird life that may include the African fish eagles and the shoe bill storks. The day ends with Dinner and overnight stay.

Day 3: Return back to Kampala/Entebbe airport 
After an early morning breakfast, have another game drive and then drive back to Kampala or to Entebbe airport for your flight back home.
